M.I.A. -Bring The Noize

M.I.A ‘s long awaited comeback single is here. Bring The Noize has a really cool ethnic beat and M.I.A’s signature bad girl rapper vibe. I’ve really loved M.I.A’s vibe since her single Paper Planes, really blew up. She is just kick ass and is not afraid to say what’s on her mind. Bring The Noize is just as cool and bad ass as her previous stuff and I can’t wait to here her fourth album, Matangi, later this year

New Kings Of Leon Album Out This Year

KOL are coming back with a new album this September. The album will be called Mechanical Bull and according to bassists Jared Followill, the albums sound is “like a mix of ‘Youth & Young Manhood’ and ‘Because Of The Times’.” I can’t wait to hear the new album, especially since they are going back to their old sound. Although the last two albums were good, the first three had a signature sound that just can’t be matched. Below I made a Spotify playlist of my favorite KOL songs. Enjoy!

Beck-Defriended

Other than releasing a songbook, Beck has not done too much when it comes to new material. But Beck has posted this stand alone single on You Tube today. It’s really electronic and  cool. This won’t be the last we hear from Beck, he plans to release two new albums and a few live tour dates, including headlining Treasure Island Music Fest.

The National- Sea Of Love

It’s been a few years since The National’s breakthrough effort High Violet. It was a comercial and a critical success and bringing the band to the masses. The National plan to keep the momentum going with their new single Sea Of Love.  Sea Of Love builds off of the sound they had in High Violet and it sounds amazing. The bands new album Trouble Will Find Me will be released later this month.

Are Blur Recording????

Blur Are Blur Recording????

This little bit of video caused Blur fans across the world to go on to a frenzy. Damon Albarn said that they would be recording new material. They did a two songs for the London Olympics but other than that there has been no new material since 2003. It would also be the first album with full participation from guitarist Graham Coxon. Coxon left halfway through the Think Tank sessions. I wouldn’t hold my breath, but maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
