Electro pop princesses Marina and The Diamonds and Charli XCX have teamed up, and the results are a sweet but sour pop song. Just Desserts sure sounds sweet but it does have a little bit of a bite. Check it out below.
It’s been a few years since The National’s breakthrough effort High Violet. It was a comercial and a critical success and bringing the band to the masses. The National plan to keep the momentum going with their new single Sea Of Love. Sea Of Love builds off of the sound they had in High Violet and it sounds amazing. The bands new album Trouble Will Find Me will be released later this month.

This little bit of video caused Blur fans across the world to go on to a frenzy. Damon Albarn said that they would be recording new material. They did a two songs for the London Olympics but other than that there has been no new material since 2003. It would also be the first album with full participation from guitarist Graham Coxon. Coxon left halfway through the Think Tank sessions. I wouldn’t hold my breath, but maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Finally, we have an official version of Ya Hey. They have been playing this song at their latest gigs and it has gone over really well. It’s a little bit on the slower side, but still is danceable. It also has Ezra Koenig’s signature complicated lyrics that you need a degree to understand.
OH Coahella. The yearly desert musical oasis, that I love so much. And this year the only damage done during the 3 day fest was one sunburn and about 4 bruises. Two weeks later and I still have yet to fully recover, but every bruise, sleepless night and aching bone was worth it to one of the most legendary Brit Pop Bands, Blur.

This new track is the first little taste of The Great Gatsby soundtrack, and it is shaping up to be a great album. Lana’s song is the first song to come off the soundtrack that is supposed to feature Jack White and Florence + The Machine. It’s a really nice song and fits well with the gatsby vibe.
