I know i haven’t been the best lately when it comes to the new releases and reviewing them. There have just been so many releases and so little time. But I did carve out some time to listen to a few and chose 3 that have grabbed my attention.

The Hives- Lex Hives

Lex Hives New Releases Catch Up Time

This was a really fun album. These feisty Swedes never lost their form. I heard a few of these songs at Coachella and was happily surprised that they are just as good on the album. This is the kind of album that you just mindlessly bang your head to.

Metric- Synthetica

Metric has done it again. They have made an accessible indie/alt album that anyone can enjoy. Metric was one of the first “alt” bands that I got in to and it was because it was different without being out there in Animal Collective territory or something. This album is just as awesome as Fantasies, which was one of the best of 2009.

Mystery Jets- Radlands

I got to be honest, I was kind of late to the Mystery Jets party. But better late than never. The album just flows really well. It was love at first listen and i think it will be the same for you.
