Album Review 2011 – The Black Keys – El Camino Album of the Year

Here is my review and ranking of the albums of 2011.  My methodology consisted of listening to the all of the songs and ranking them on a five star system.  The main criteria was how easy the album was to listen to.

5 Stars – The perfect song! (almost impossible to obtain)

4 Stars – In extremely heavy rotation on my iPod

3 Stars – Definitely on my iPod

2 Stars – I could listen to it again

1 Star – It didn’t hurt my ears

0 Stars – I really didn’t want to listen to the whole thing

All of the stars for an album are added together and divided by the total number of songs to get the rating.

Caveats – Many of the songs I only listened to once and the rating could have been affected by my mood on the day I listened to it.  In future, I plan to listen to all songs at least 3 times to eliminate this potential bias.

Very descriptive article, I enjoyed that a lot. Will there be a part 2?
